Squeak Relief Feedback

Dear Sirs,

I want to take this opportunity to tell you how impressed I am with your Squeak Relief floor repair system. I have tried driving screws through the carpet into the joist and wedging shims in between the floor joist and the subfloor to eliminate the squeaks. But, eventually, the squeaks would return. I saw your product advertised in a home improvement magazine and decided that I would give it a try.

I usually don't write letters praising a particular product, but I just had to make an exception in this case. I'm sure that there are many home owners who have experienced the same frustrations as I have. I highly recommend this product.

I can honestly say that the product did eliminate those irritating squeaks. In fact, I ordered two more kits and plan to order several more to complete this project. I'm not too impressed with the work of our home building contractor, since our home is only 7 years old, but that's another story. At least now, I can take care of the problem myself with your product.

Sincerely,
Jerry Hilderbrand, Aurora, OH

Excerpt from Bob Vila's American Home magazine...

"Dear Bob,
The hardwood floors throughout our entire house squeak, We've tried driving long screws down through the flooring with no results. We've tried driving screws up through the subfloor - again, no luck. Is there anything we can try short of pulling up the flooring and starting over?"

Answer: Chances are the squeaks come from inadequate fastening of the subflooring. It should be nailed to joists at 12-inch intervals with "ring nails" which, have threaded shanks for extra holding power. But you probably don't have to take up the flooring to take care of the problem.
If you have access to the floor frame from below, locate squeaky spots and install braces such as "Squeak Relief" available at many local hardware stores and home centers.

Gentlepersons:

"I have just completed several repairs using your "Squeak-Relief" and wanted you to know how efficient I found it to be. I had previously used a competitors product in 2 repairs. Your "Squeak-Relief" does the job better, is 1/3 the cost and is much easier to install."

Don Oetinger, Grand Island, NY

Dear Sirs,

"Congratulations on designing a clean and simple device for stopping floor squeaks. The squeak-relief piece of hardware did the trick for us on a recent job to the immediate satisfaction of one of our favorite clients. We purchased two pair through a catalog on a lurk to see if they would work and since installing them, we realize that we should have ordered more of them. Good Work."

-Conner and Buck Builders, Bristal, VT

"A quick fix for squeaky floors . . . it gave me what its name implies"

-Fine Homebuilding Magazine

"I just wanted to say thanks... the Squeak-Relief floor braces you sent worked just like you said they would."

Paraguage
Saw Alignment System

This device aligns the fence with the saw blade to assure you a measurement from fence to saw blade, and the blade height. You're really not limited to the table saw here, either. You can use it on any tool with a fence system. A fence that's not set true to the blade can result in kickback as well as expensive stock blunders. This tool takes the error out of the equation with speed and ease. By adjusting the two sliding bars, you assure correct fence placement. We found it extremely useful on saws with borderline - quality fences. The company guarantees accuracy of 0.01". You can purchase the tool in 12" or 18" lengths. The paragauge extension bars are extruded aluminum for long life and accuracy, and the plates are made of a space age material called Valox 735. This stuff won't scratch your tabletop and won't distort or lose its shape.

"Many thanks for the Paragauge. It's everything you said it would be; easy to use, accurate and versatile, just as easy to use on my router table, band saw and drill press. Truly a bargain, it's worth its weight in gold"

-R.T. Hayworth, Winnipeg, Canada

"A truly remarkable tool. It's amazing no one invented it before now."

-Pete Peterson, Orange, CA

The patented Paragauge saw alignment system"My previous problem was in ripping stock on my table saw. No matter how carefully I adjusted the blade to minimize heeling I could not get it accurate enough to eliminate binding and burning of the edges. . . I took the PARAGAUGE right out of the box and did a series of rips at random widths. The hardwood that I used ran through the blade as smooth as silk, the results far exceeded my expectations."

-D.J. McLellan, Medford, MA

"I measured the real distances and found the tool to be perfectly accurate all around. You really do have a great product here."

-Woodshop News

". . . a marvelous tool !!! It's absolutely accurate and easy to use. A definite asset to any shop."

-Paul Quagliata, West Hill, CA

"Paragauge is an inexpensive and effective solution to the fence alignment problem"

-Larry F. Okrend, Workbench Magazine
